Rubb AS Prefabrikerte konstruksjoner - Marine Produkter

Rubb AS Marine Buildings are used extensively in shipyards to put large fabrication work undercover and on ships and barges to provide covered storage and dehumidified storage.

On shore, Rubb AS marine structures can be track mounted in sections to allow overhead crane access. Smaller workshops are easily lifted and moved around the shipyard in erected form.

Investment payback is rapid in terms of reduced downtime, improved efficiency and enhanced quality. Fitting-out can proceed in parallel with hull construction by building full size internal modules under cover and then fitting them into the hull at the appropriate time. Rubb Marine Relocatable Buildings provide affordable shipyard solutions.

As well as making structures for the marine industry on land, we also make covers for ships and barges. Dehumidified cargo cocoons provide safe transport for sensitive goods by protecting them from the seagoing environment. Ocean going barges can also be covered to carry raw materials that are sensitive to the elements.

Shipyard Buildings and Storage - Rubb's capability, flexibility, and speed - the key to Shipyard Solutions

Relocatable shipyard buildings have proven to be the perfect solution for protecting marine projects from inclement weather.

Relocatable shipyard buildings can be mounted on rollers and created in sections to accommodate different size yacht construction projects. The rollers allow the sections to be moved and each section is designed to telescope inside the larger sections to reduce the overall shipyard building footprint and to provide maintenance access.

The hot-dip galvanized steel frame is covered with a high quality PVC coated polyester membrane that provides superior corrosion protection in the marine environment. The entire Rubb structure is light enough to be readily moved and is designed to be fully compliant with local building codes.

Rubb AS Storage Shelters and Storage Buildings have also been deployed in shipyards for general storage, winter yacht storage and as repair sheds, paint booths and maintenance buildings.

Rubb AS Ship Cocoons are often used to protect military cargo, but have commercial applications as well.

Generally, a large ship cocoon consists of many individual enclosures. The individual ship cocoon sections are provided with a wheeled track system that rides upon standard railroad type rails that are secured to longitudinal tubes fitted on the port and starboard container posts. This allows for each ship cocoon section to be "telescoped" together to allow for access to stored cargo and efficient loading and off loading.

Sealed and insulated from the marine environment, the Rubb AS ship cocoon system allows the interior humidity and temperature to be regulated.

Protecting cargo while at sea takes a rugged structure. Rubb AS ship cocoons are built using a hot-dipped galvanized, wide flange beam, framework that is clad with 28 ounce and 32 ounce, per square yard, PVC coated architectural membrane panels. The system is designed to withstand 100mph [160kph] wind speeds acting in combination with the multi-directional shear and compressive forces associated with heavy seagoing conditions.

Rubb AS Barge and Ship Covers for Ocean going vessels.

Rubb AS ship and barge covers are designed for ocean going vessels that need to protect weather sensitive cargo from the harsh elements of the sea. They can also be climate controlled if necessary.

Rubb AS ship covers are built from a hot dipped galvanized steel framework which is clad with heavy duty 28 ounce per square yard PVC coated architectural membrane panels. These covers are designed for high wind speeds acting in combination with heavy roll forces associated with heavy seas.
